Service Description: This raster represents the buildable height limits for the area around Redstone Arsenal in Alabama. It is derived from the imaginary surfaces for the airfield at Redstone Arsenal and accounts for the ground elevation. So the values represent the height, in feet, above ground level, that a structure could be built before it would intrude into the imaginary surfaces. Source ground elevation comes from USGS and is at 10 meter resolution. The imaginary surfaces were modeled in 1 foot contours and converted to a raster with 10 foot x 10 foot cells, and then the ground elevations were removed. Note that Redstone Arsenal also has an imaginary surface called an EMOS, which this raster layer does not reflect, as the data was not provided to us at the time of creation. This layer is intended to be updated and replaced at a later date when that data is provided.
